Mini Root
Mini Root, add intricate detail and lifelike realism to your aquarium, paludarium, or terrarium, real, fine natural roots that bring your nature creation to life with stunning delicacy and flexibility.
Mini Roots are the secret ingredient for achieving natural complexity in your scape. Collected from real roots and carefully heat-treated and dehydrated, these fine to ultra-fine roots bring a new level of refinement to your aquascapes, paludariums, and terrariums.
Ranging from 10 to 30 cm in length, their natural brown tone and highly detailed structure mimic forest floors, tangled banks, or creeping root systems with exceptional authenticity. Flexible once soaked, they can be easily shaped to suit your creative vision-whether you’re crafting a lush jungle, a submerged forest, or a minimalist layout with organic texture.
Mini Roots are ideal for adding realism and layering to your habitat. From subtle accents to expressive root networks, their natural look and safe composition make them a favorite among nature creators.

- Preparation
– Soak in water for 24 hours to restore flexibility.
– Rinse before use to remove dust or debris.
- Placement Tips
– Use rocks, anchors, or glue to prevent floatation until waterlogged.
– For precise and lasting positioning, we recommend using the WIO ScapeGlue Kit to bond Mini Roots to rocks, wood, or other hardscape elements.
- Tannins & Conditioning
– Roots may release tannins initially, tinting the water. This is harmless.
– To reduce tannins: boil for several hours or pre-soak for a month.
– Perform regular water changes if needed to manage tint.
- Natural Behavior
– White fungus (Saprolegnia) may appear temporarily—harmless and normal.
– Gently remove with a small tube or suction tool; it usually disappears in a month.
- Notes
– Each bundle contains a unique mix of roots. Natural variations in size, color, and texture are expected.
– Always monitor water parameters when adding any new organic material to an established aquarium.
