Cimarron Sand

Bring a natural riverbed feel to your aquarium with Cimarron Sand. Made from earthy natural sand with a higher grain mix, this cosmetic sand provides a textured and complex base for your aquatic scape.

You can use it alone for a simple yet striking look or mix it with our other cosmetic sands to create your own custom blend. Experiment with different amounts and textures to achieve your desired look.

• Pre-washed: Ready to use, though additional rinsing can be done to ensure cleanliness.
• Sand Placement: Spread the sand evenly along the bottom of your empty tank or terrarium. Pour the sand gently from a low height to avoid scratching the aquarium glass.
• Standalone or Mixed: Use on its own for a warm, natural base, or combine it with other WIO sands and gravels for a custom substrate look.
• Decorate & Plant: Arrange rocks, driftwood, and plants to create a harmonious and captivating environment.
• Filling the Tank: Pour water carefully, avoiding direct flow onto the sand. 
• Pro Tip: Pour water over a plate or décor to minimize disturbance.
• Final Touch: Use a net to skim any floating particles, then turn on the filter and watch the remaining cloudiness disappear within a few hours, leaving a clear, natural finish.
• Easy maintenance: Regularly, for example, with every water change, gently vacuum clean the sand to remove any accumulated debris or algae.
