• Riverbed Placement: Spread the substrate evenly along the bottom of your empty tank or terrarium. Pour the substrate gently from a low height to avoid scratching the aquarium glass.

• Easy maintenance: Regularly, for example, with every water change, gently vacuum clean the substrate to remove any accumulated debris or algae.
• Water parameters: This Riverbed sand is inert, but the pebbles may slightly increase pH and carbonate hardness (kH) in your aquarium, which is usually not a problem and can even be beneficial for some fish and plants. However, if you have sensitive species like shrimp or certain fish that prefer very soft water, regular water changes with soft water or RO water can help counteract this rise. You can also use buffering substrates or additives to control water parameters. It's always recommended to monitor your water parameters regularly, especially when keeping sensitive species.
